Media reports said that tremors were felt by residents of Karachi’s Gulshan-i-Iqbal and Gulistan-i-Jauhar areas on Tuesday.
People on social media described how they felt tremors and came out of the buildings they were in. Students of University of Karachi and NED University also reportedly came out of their classrooms as a result of the shocks.
It was unclear as to what caused the tremors, although several residents indicated that it might have been an earthquake.
Meanwhile, an explosion was also reportedly heard in the area.
