BEIJING: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Tuesday said that Indian Line of Control (LOC) ceasefire violations are a threat to regional peace.
“Indian violations along the LOC and the working boundary could prove to be dangerous for the region if not put to an end,” PM Abbasi said during his meeting with the United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of BOAO Forum for Asia.
The premier continued that Pakistan has a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and that the country’s forces have put an end to extremism via their valiant efforts. He also condemned Indian atrocities in Occupied-Kashmir and urged the secretary general to highlight the issue on global forums.
Addressing the Boao Forum for Asia’s annual conference earlier today, PM Abbasi said that the fourth industrial revolution was foreseeable in Pakistan’s future as the CPEC enhances connectivity and partnership with China. He added that joint ventures with China’s lead were paving a path of peace and prosperity.
The premier said that Pakistan and China’s companionship was the very base of strategic stability. He added that the bilateral bond of the two countries was reshaping Asia’s face as a brave new Asia with the China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) was emerging.
Abbasi further said that the Pak-China friendship was a model worth admiring as it has been open, coordinated and carries a broad development paradigm that benefits all stakeholders.
