Karachi: The terrorist group involved in the target killing of traffic police personnel at Ayesha Manzil has been identified.
Officials said that the 22-member terrorist group linked with a banned organization has been identified to be behind the killing of cops in the city. Twelve of the terrorists have been sent to jail while 10 are still at large. Sources said that Qari Mohsin is the leader of this group which had become active after his release on bail.
Two traffic police officials were shot dead on Saturday in a targeted attack by unknown assailants in the metropolis Ayesha Manzil area. According to the rescue sources, one of the injured policemen died on the spot while the other one died on the way to hospital. Both officials were shot multiple times from a close range. The assailants managed to escape the scene at the time of the incident and later the CCTV cameras on the location also found to be inoperative. However, the police later tracked down the murderers and also managed to identify the gang behind the murders.
